Flightware
Solutions provides a new class of software solutions for the Quick-Serve
and Fast Casual Markets. We continue to provide point-of-sale (POS)
software and information solutions that enable your Quick-Serve business
to better serve customers and operate more profitably. Our team is a
seasoned group of professionals with high levels of experience in operations
as well as in-depth skills for developing, implementing, and supporting
customer-facing, mission-critical systems.
1991
Flight-Ware Ltd. began providing solutions to the QSR market
Flightware began our POS development around the request from many frustrated
operators that had been looking for an answer that would address the
growing data and functional needs of today's hi-speed quick serve restaurants.
The
one special thing about Flight-Ware and our solution was to build a
combined product that would handle the audio needs for answering parking
slots and drive-thru orders from a growing number of operators that
needed this flexibility. The audio solution began with functionality
that enabled communication to as many as 48 points of order with as
many as four operators that could take integrated POS orders simultaneously.
George Kahwaji our CEO/ Chief Technology
Officer began a transition of development that has led the pace in the
design of a POS that would address these very issues. His insight of
what the POS System model should be has been followed by an industry
full of companies that have continued to create new and innovative ways
to serve Quick Serve and Fast Casual customers.
1995 -
Flight-Ware, Ltd strikes deal with Sonic Corporation to provide Unix
based POS
The Flight-Ware design was so exceptional that our biggest partner,
Sonic Corporation, purchased the rights to our Unix based Point of Sale
for use in all of their corporate locations. Sonic continued to develop
this core product and still uses portions of our original software and
hardware configurations.
Though they have designed a new version of the original UNIX based product,
Sonic Corporation continues to use some of the basics of our technology
in many of their corporate locations.
2000
- Flight-Ware, Ltd is released to sell our POS to the Sonic market once
again
From our technology transfer in 1995 with Sonic Corporation, we continued
the development of our POS and began the shift to a Windows environment
and high-speed touch screens. Many of our existing customers helped
us continue our efforts and are a big part of why we have a state of
the art POS for high-speed quick serve operations.
Business automation has evolved from manual transaction processing –
to makeshift progress using word processors and spreadsheets –
to designing homegrown applications out of desperation – to implementing
generic "canned" POS application out of sheer defeat –
to evaluating high-end management information systems which cost more
than your bottom line.
Since software solutions are the building blocks of the information
age, you cannot let the business falter because its foundation is not
good enough. To be successful an operator needs a superior enterprise-wide
software system to form the company’s Digital Nervous System.
Flight-Ware’s solutions are specifically designed for companies
with multiple stores in either a local or wide area network.
Whether your needs involve improving
your operational flow or gathering, compiling, or analyzing data, Flightware’s
Presto™ POS solution will help you make intelligent
decisions at every level. In today’s competitive business climate,
those companies that lack the means to compete effectively will inevitably
perish. To be successful, the tools necessary are much more than keen
managerial vision and an excellent staff. You also need a superior software
system that will help you achieve your ultimate goals.
